Sahara Window & Doors was established approximately fifty years ago in Chicago as a family business. Lee and Judy Schanz moved the business to Mount Prospect in 1994 and continued to provide quality windows and doors to the Chicagoland area until their retirement in 2009.

American Thermal Window Products acquired Sahara after the original owners retired. American Thermal is a family-owned business as was Sahara and was a logical partner. Today Sahara is a division of American Thermal.
