I would like to welcome you to a unique dining experience. I arrived from Cassino, Italy in 1949. Monte Cassino, the monastery of my hometown was the scene of a famous battle during WWII The mural in the dining room is a painting of that monastery.
My first restaurant endeavor was Gregg's Pizzeria in Detroit, which is still in business. Picano's Restaurant was opened on a cold, snowy day on January 21, 1985. I have always strived to provide fresh and choice ingredients for our dishes.
Homemade is the essential ingredient. We specialize in house made ravioli, gnocchi, lasagna, sausage and wonderful garlic rolls, among many other specialties. On our menu, you will also find prime veal, steaks, lamb chops and fresh fish. Try one of our great cappuccinos or espressos with sinfully rich desserts.
An extensive wine list featuring wines from Italy, California and specialty wines from different countries. There's something to please everyone's taste.
If you have a special dish that may have been on our menu at some time, the chefs' and I will try to accommodate your request.
Interested in sports or the stock market? Visit our lounge with a big screen 'TVas well as, other TVs tuned into the stock market and all sporting events.
We also offer banquet facilities for showers, christenings, retirements, etc. Our rooms accommodate 20 to 100 people.
Having a special event coming up, we offer catering to your home or office. We are able to furnish our excellent food, wait staff, bartenders, dishes and linens. Helping you to make your special event a success!
