It all started in the year 2020, in the kitchen of a Malaysian mother whose strong passion for baking led her to discover a new recipe while playing with the shape and texture of the roti dough. With the excitement of her newest discovery, she hopes to create a brand new version of the bun, a roti bun.
In 2002, she created a round roti bun with a coffee caramel coating on the outside and a rich salted butter filling on the inside. She handed one to his son and watched questionably as he took a deep bite into its tender and moist inside. His face instantaneously lighted up, and the bright smile on his face as he chewed on the bun was totally unmistakable. This moment would birth a multi-national brand that would put a pleasant smile on people’s faces across the globe. PappaRoti, “Father of all Buns,” is born.
