The Marcus Corporation was founded by Ben Marcus in 1935 with the opening of a single movie theatre in Ripon, Wisconsin. This marked the start of what would become one of the nation’s leading entertainment and lodging companies. Today, The Marcus Corporation is a publicly held company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol MCS. Ben’s son, Stephen H.
