Before Baskin-Robbins was Baskin-Robbins, there were two separate ice cream store, Snowbird Ice Cream opened by Irvine Robbins and Burton's Ice Cream Shop opened by Burton Baskin.
Burton's Ice Cream Shop was opened in Pasadena, CA in 1946 and Snowbird Ice Cream was opened in Glendale, CA in 1945. Burton Baskin and Irvine Robbins had six stores between them by 1948, and eventually this grew into Baskin-Robbins.
